FAQ's

Is the hot tub private and available all year round?

Yes, all hot tubs with Owl Lodge, The Doghouse and Copse Camp are private. Sometimes if the weather is very cold we may have problems doing the change over clean down due to frozen pipes. We trust you will be understanding in these circumstances beyond our control.

Can I bring pets?
Yes we are pet friendly and you can bring as many as you feel comfortable with, however we do change £20 per animal per stay.

Do you provide the logs?
We provide enough logs that if you are careful with the fire you don't need anymore. More logs can be purchased from us if needed at £5 a bag.

Are linen and towels provided?
Yes and bath robes too for your comfort.

Is there an oven in the kitchen?
There is a gas hob and microwave and mini oven in The Dog House (When we say mini oven we mean it, don't expect to cook a 10" pizza in it) and an induction hob and combi microwave/oven/grill in Owl Lodge. Copse Camp has an outdoor kitchen with twin gas burners and a fire pit with various cast iron pans, griddles and a dutch oven.

Are basic condiments provided?
We provide - salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee and sugar.

What time is check out?
Check out is at 10am

Do you have wifi available?
Although we do have broadband it is not the fastest (in fact at times I think it is possibly the slowest!) however there is a strong 4G signal. There is no WiFi at Copse Camp only the 4G however you can always wander over towards the other buildings to pick up the WiFi.

Are we restricted to the size of vehicle we can bring?
We have ample parking available, however access is via a single track road but we can accommodate vehicles up to a large cargo van size.

When and How do you take payment?
At time of booking you card details are taken as a security. You will receive an email a couple of weeks before you arrive asking you to make payment via bank transfer. If you would like to pay by cash on arrival or would like us to charge your card please contact us before hand to make arrangements.

Are the hot tubs easy to heat and is it possible to have the Hot tub heated for our arrival?
Our hot tubs are wood fired and the water is direct from our mountain spring. Depending on the ambient temperature it should take around to two hours to heat. If you feel you are struggling please ask for help. Where time permits we do offer a pre heating service for £40.

Is there anything that we need to bring?
We always say you only need to bring whatever you want to eat, drink or wear. Everything else is provided.

Please note the water supply to Copse Camp is liable to freeze in cold weather. If this happens we will provide you with bottled water for your stay.
