Also please do not attempt to get directions through Google as this can be misleading too and the family at the property in Llanarmon-yn-ial (this is even the wrong village!) where you end up is not very happy about having random visitors looking for their holiday lodgings.

From Chester and the North

Take the A483 sign posted Wrexham. Turn off from the dual carriageway at the junction sign posted Ruthin on to the A525. Follow the road through Coedpoeth through Bwlchgwyn and out over the Llandegla Moors (about 6 miles). As you come down from the moor there are some fishing lakes on the right. Keep on this road passing The Grousemoor Inn on the left. At the traffic lights by The Crown Hotel turn left towards Corwen, A5104. You will soon come to a small roundabout, turn left at the roundabout for Llangollen, A542...see the directions for 'From the roundabout'

From Ruthin

Follow the road out of town towards Wrexham, A525. Stay on this road through Llanfair and on up the Nant y Garth. After the last bend of the pass there is a long straight, take the next turning to the right for Llangollen, A542. You will then come to a small roundabout, go straight over and see the directions for 'From the roundabout'...

From Llangollen and the South

Take the A542 out of Llangollen sign posted Ruthin. Follow this road for about 6 miles where you will come to the Horseshoe Pass. Go over the first and second cattle grids. After the second cattle grid you will see a layby on your right hand side followed by a sharp right hand bend. After the bend there is another layby on the right and a farmhouse on your left. There is then a turning to the right. Take this turning and follow the road along past the farm up the hill and faraway is a big wooden house on the right. If you come to a roundabout you have missed the turning in which you should now follow the instructions labelled 'From the roundabout.'

From North West Wales

Head towards Corwen on the A5. After Rhug Estate turn onto the A5104 at the traffic lights towards Chester. Continue on this road for about 8 miles until you come to a small roundabout and then take the right hand turn towards Llangollen and follow instructions labelled 'From the roundabout.'

From the roundabout

Go straight down the hill. As the road starts to rise up there is a layby on the left hand side and about 100 yards past this, there is a turning on the left with a blue sign saying single track lane with gates. Take this turning and follow the road along past the farm up the hill. Faraway is a big wooden house on the right.

Owl Lodge is the building at the end of the drive. Please park perpendicularly in front of the building opposite.

The Doghouse is a little further along the lane on the right. Please park in the lay-by in front of The Doghouse.

To find Copse Camp carry on past the house for another 50 yards or so and you will come to a gate. You'll be able to see Copse Camp on the right hand side. Go through the gate and in the lay by on the right. Please ensure you keep both gates closed when not in use or you may find your camp invaded by sheep!
